Full choir

Mendon Gospel Choir brings enthusiasm, vitality and joy to our Sunday morning worship service. The choir focuses on vocal music that shares the good news of Christ in a variety of musical styles, especially Contemporary Praise and Worship music, as well as Southern Gospel and Black Gospel styles. In addition, there is a women's ensemble, a men's ensemble and a praise band. The choir shares their songs in concerts throughout the year and has recorded two CDs.

The Kids of Mendon is made up of children who learn fun Christian songs on Sunday mornings prior to going to Christian Education time. Many of these songs are Scripture songs so they help the kids to hide God's Word in their hearts. Several times during the year, the children share some of their songs during a Sunday morning worship service.

Men's choir

The choir is under the direction of Dr. Lon Beery who teaches vocal music in the Webster Central School District. In addition to teaching, Lon also composes choral music for schools and churches and has over 70 pieces published, including "I Believe" which was performed at President Reagan's internment service by the U.S. Army Chorus. Lon especially enjoys writing scripture songs, many of which we sing during our worship services.

The choir reassembles each Sunday morning at 9:30 am just before worship. Anyone is welcome to join. A musical background is not required, nor are auditions required.
