The Stewardship Committee conducts all activities that help
to provide the church with its operating budget, as well as conducting special programs
that relate to long term financial support, such as a wills and bequest program.Since
the Mendon Church annually sets aside a portion of this budget for allocation
by the missions committee, the stewardship committee also acts indirectly as a source of
missions funding.

The highlight of the stewardship committee's activities occur around mid November, when
the annual Faith Commitment campaign is conducted. Since the Mendon
Church is committed to operating on a balanced budget principle, the results of the Faith
Commitment Campaign serves as the budget basis for the following year.
Over the past five years, the Faith Commitment campaign has more than doubled the
campaign results. This expression of faith by the congregation has led to increased
spending, higher quality programming and increased staff services, thus allowing the
voluntary congregational workforce to focus on areas of importance in doing God's work for
us - teaching evangelizing, and missions.
